The Jellyfish Project and AquaVan Team Up

This February, The Jellyfish Project and the Vancouver Aquarium’s AquaVan teamed up to deliver ocean conservation education to schools around the Lower Mainland.  Both a classroom and an aquarium on wheels, AquaVan visited biology classes to bring the wonders of the ocean to students during a session on intertidal marine biology. Educators discussed the need to protect and conserve our aquatic environments through interaction with a variety of live marine invertebrates, such as sea stars, crabs, anemones and sea urchins. This experience provided a unique opportunity for youth to have an up-close and personal encounter with aquatic life.
